I'm Joana Duarte, an experienced Product Designer with a solid foundation in UX and UI design, over five years in UX, and more than three in UI. Skilled in UX research and agile methodologies, I excel at aligning user needs with business objectives, consistently delivering innovative, data-driven solutions to complex design challenges. Continuous learning is essential to my approach; I’m both a mentor and mentee, dedicated to knowledge-sharing within the design community.

At Critical TechWorks, we’re developing the next generation of software systems for the BMW Group’s future driving machines. I focus on designing user-centric digital platforms, implementing the Density Design System, and conducting usability tests. My expertise in UX/UI is key to delivering innovative solutions and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out and playing board games with friends. I especially love cooperative games, but a bit of friendly competition and plenty of laughter always make it more fun. I also find joy in crafting ceramics. There’s something incredibly satisfying about shaping each piece by hand.
