I'm Joana Duarte, a Product Designer passionate about simplifying complexity and creating intuitive, impactful digital products.

I specialize in complex digital products and enterprise platforms, combining user research, systems thinking, and data-informed decision-making to design scalable experiences that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.

At Critical TechWorks, I design enterprise solutions for the BMW Group, focusing on complex workflows, data-intensive interfaces, and scalable UX/UI solutions. I work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to turn complex challenges into clear, consistent, and user-centered experiences.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with global companies and international teams across automotive, retail, education, and mobility. I’m passionate about continuous learning, collaboration, and sharing knowledge with the design community.

Outside of work, you’ll find me playing board games, making ceramics, discovering cafés for a good chai latte, listening to Nova MPB or Samba, or spending time with cats.
